Thalia provides psychological treatment or counseling for children over age 9, couples, families and individual adults from the Charlevoix, Petoskey and Northwest Michigan area.
Currently teletherapy only is offered for the duration of the pandemic.
She uses an integrative therapeutic mod.el, incorporating many theoretical perspectives and techniques to tailor treatment to individual needs. We are all unique and therapy should never apply a fixed system to clients' singular blend of characteristics, experiences and circumstances.
Among her resources are cognitive behavioral; object relations; solution-focused; art therapy; play therapy; reality; person-centered; dialectical behavior; family systems; integrative; Gottman method,; trauma focused; sand tray; mindfulness; narrative and other types of treatment.

Thalia sees individual adults, children, couples and families. There is no extra charge for additional family members attending a session. Appointments are usually 50 minutes long. Day and evening hours are generally available.
Some Examples of Adult Problems Treated:
depression, anxiety, relationship issues including communication and conflict resolution problems, adult children of alcoholics, co-dependency, physical, emotional and sexual abuse, anger, grief and loss, divorce adjustment and many others.
Some Examples of Chilren's Problems Treated:
separation anxiety, school phobia, divorce adjustment, behavior problems, sibling rivalry, anger/tantrums, poor self-esteem, social skills deficiencies, depression, anxiety, adjusting to change and many more.
Thalia has a sub-specialty in divorce and separation related problems, including child custody/parenting time recommendations, co-parenting issues, step-family dynamics. She is trained as a Neutral Mental Health Professional in Collaborative Divorce cases.
